Lapland Magic
Rovaniemi, Finland
August 21 - 26, 2026
Learn to live off the land in luxury. Return back to our roots through yoga and adventure in a remote area of the Arctic Circle!
The retreat for those who want to return to nature.
To be immersed in crisp air, quiet creeks, and come back to the earth to indulge in foods we pick in the forest and learn to cook around a fire.
A space for those who love to feel their heart pumping through hikes and yoga, to place themselves in the middle of a lake and run with the huskies.
Gone too far? We aren’t so much running with the huskies, but we will be meeting a bunch at a husky farm after we canoe in a stunning lake on Lake Sieri!
Every night a traditional Finnish designed tree house with a STUNNING glass wall to sip on tea while searching for the northern lights will be waiting for you, like a nice warm hug.
If you know me, you know I plan retreats with the utmost care on where we are and how we can experience a culture unlike our own. I support local businesses, local tour guides, and local farms.
This Finnish retreat is no different from mine in the past, but the Fin’s like luxury and that is what I am bringing to you!
Scandinavia has always interested me, but Finland itself caught my eye when a co-worker and now friend said he was traveling there for the summer.
I started doing my research and I just couldn’t resist.
That is why I am bringing Tim Russell on this retreat to teach alongside me - an international yoga teacher and just all around lover of movement and nature like myself.
When I say there is NOTHING for you to do besides book your flights and show up, myself, Tim, and the amazing staff at the Arctic Treehouse Hotel have got you covered.
Check out the proposed itinerary below!
Due to the nature of nature, this is proposed and is subject to shift.

Who are your teachers?
Tia DeVincenzo
Travel enthusiast, coffee lover, and addicted to movement, Tia started dreaming up retreats once she saw the power of presence. Taking yourself out of the ordinary and finding how confident you can become when you challenge yourself physically and mentally.
She has over 25 years in the movement industry and thinks our body is this beautiful vessel to experience what the world has to offer. She encourages her clients to take personal space for themselves, like truly, immersed in nature and away from the noise. But she also loves a good time, which is what separates her retreats from others.
Laughter is medicine!
Her classes are just as invigorating as they are calming and she tailors every practice to the people she has in front of her. Especially on day to day retreats where we may need a little more yin than yang and a few gooey assists, rather than more chaturangas.
Tim Russell
An international yoga teacher and creator of Primal Yoga, Tim has taken his over 20 years in the exercise industry and blended it with the ancient teachings of yoga into a unique practice. He emphasises strength and mobility through full range of motion while developing harmony between the mind and body.
Tim spent the summer of 2025 teaching upga at Joogasali Huili in Finland, but his home base is Yoga Moves in Massachusetts.
Tia is so excited to have Tim join us to bring a dynamic experience within the yoga realm of the retreats, and his overall joyous personality and love and deep respect of nature for the rest!
